Fun Working Out Areas Of Irregular 2d Shapes
Solving areas of irregular 2D shapes
Date : 02/08/2021
Have you ever tried working out the areas of irregular shapes where the length of the side is missing or the shape is part of a large rectangle or you have not been able to find the best way to divide the shape.
Always look for a simple to work out solution. In the case of the large rectangle enclosing the irregular shape, this can be solved by taking away the shaded areas, not part of the latter, as opposed to dividing this shape up in to sections and working out the individual areas.
With an irregular 2D shape, look for the easiest way to split the shape up once you have established all measurements, then all the separate areas up to establish the area of the whole shape, remembering to use square numbers in your answer.
