FRACTION DECIMAL PERCENTAGES
1/2 Divide bottom into top 0.5 x 100 to change into %. 50%
1/4. As above. 0.25. x. 100 to change into %. 25%
3/10. As above. 0.3. x. 100 to change into %. 30%

3/4. As above. 0.75. x 100 to change into %. 75%
To change 0.5 into a fraction you need to put 5 over 10 as 0.5 is the same as 5 tenths which simplifies to 1/2. A further example is 0.8 which is 8 tenths and simplified comes to 4/5 as a fraction.
To change a percentage into a fraction you need to put the percentage amount, top amount ( numerator) over the denominator ( always 100%) so 75% will be 75 divided by 100, the denominator , so will be 75/100 which can be simplified to 3/4. 30% can be changed into a decimal by first changing it into a fraction, being 3/10 then carrying out the above operation to change it into a decimal.
The above will work for 1/2s, 1/4s, 1/5s, 1/8s and 1/10s etc as a few examples.
The top of the fraction is called the Numerator, the bottom is the Denominator.
As a decimal 1 is 1.0 and as a percentage is 100%.
The above operations are useful for changing fractions into decimals into percentages and vice versa, especially in times when a calculator cannot be used.
