I am a non-native speaker PhD student (History of Art, UCL) and my thesis requires high-level of English proficiency for academic purposes. Since February 2015, Yvette has been helping me articulate my argument and improve my writing and editing skills. She has also guided me about my English pronunciation, lecture preparation, public speaking and interpersonal skills. These are all professionally daunting requirements that, for me, only she (a brilliant, loving tutor) has helped me deal with. As my personal mentor, she has been tremendously supportive in guiding me to overcome the numerous challenges that I have encountered during my PhD research.
