I have thirteen years of teaching experience across the primary age range and within a range of roles including Class Teacher, Phase Leader and Assistant Headteacher. Other experience includes international teaching, preparation for the Cambridge PET English exams, 1:1 tutoring and online teaching/tutoring. I am currently completing a Master`s in Education with Leadership.

Availability: I have limited availability at the moment and can only do a Thursday 6:10 - 7:10pm, Friday 4-5pm or sessions within the school day.

Experience: I have taught in every year group across the primary age range and have a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for KS1 and KS2 including SATs. I have developed and overseen the delivery and assessment of the National Curriculum across the school whilst working in a leadership role.

My tutoring with your child will include building their confidence, breaking down any learning barriers, achieving academic success and most importantly, creating a lifelong passion for learning. I think that it is important that children are able to take control of their own learning journeys and therefore I make sure they are included in the target setting process as well as having some choice over the topics we will cover. I make all learning fun and meaningful by relating it to real life experiences as well as tailoring it to each child`s interests. I give precise and immediate feedback and ensure that students know how to learn from their mistakes. I always build strong relationships with parents and give timely feedback and practical ideas.

I have experience of online learning and can use a range of platforms and interactive resources to both mirror and enhance the face to face experience. I think that it is also a great way for children to develop their computing skills while learning in other areas.
