A Matter of Sense

A dynamism between the conscious and the subconscious systematises the mind as a ground for the painting process. A keen subject for enquiry is the corporality of sound a fluxus of diffusions pass through the body as it were an acoustic channel. The ear is where the hearing process begins but consider the entire body to be a listening device.

I feel for a differential and a peculiarity of the senses. I am concerned with the events of life vs body and mind. Listening to the body, to profound messages in one s personal locale factors a sensory and impassioned response.

What is the language of art, where is the language in art? Work is articulated through language documenting after each making session that is an instinctive rejoinder, but nothing accesses creative acumen like picking up a tool. Dubuffet believed that painting and image making is a more powerful medium than the written word, that painting provides connections to the human condition that are stronger than in language.

Perhaps though we should be looking not to the frontier of painting and literature for meaning and purpose, but instead, to the relationship between content (ideas) and dimensions of thought. Creative transformation pertains to an intellectual leap forward of a special kind. It occurs when one transfers an idea (regardless of whether the original idea survives in its exact form during the transfer) from one domain to another. Making art is in the kinesis of thought, an energy inscribed onto the mind forever.

The landscape is a recurrent point for departure, the accompanying of a whole as a system. It is because of desire, a search for a flame that works manifests.

A dissemination of energy runs across the entire universe. All artworks contain this through the rendering. The artwork is an apparatus that nourishes the heart and soul of the artist long after he has been separated from it.

The artist is an embassy for everything in this universe, often the melancholic he feels at certain points of the way that he must explain himself (at least to himself) his whys and how s and wherefores. He has only to look up and esteem the glimmering constellations that are his forms fixed upon a firmament that is the creative mind.
