The Crowning
Sometimes I believe that through the process of making art, I am orchestrating or conducting a symphony of energy to bestow upon the landscape to be enticed further and deeper into life On a short walk through the quiet edge of the woods, I spot on the ground a collection of natural objects that appeared to have been laid in a perfect circle upon the path. A crowning seemingly of nature and landscape. A ritual? I fell to thinking about the artist s sensibility and whether or not it has a similarity to the soul. An entity filled with meaning ? Aside from an artist s technical skill and mastery, sensibility is his most prized possession, the most fragile, the most hard earned. It is a collection of experiences, impressions, influences an anthology of responses perceptions constructed to exist perhaps as an gossamer that rains gently on our work. Sensibility is what gives form its genesis, it is the work and the artist.I felt for the first time a connection with an other . A feeling of a gentleness and innocence - a feeling that I had found a that had for so long been filled with a cold whistling wind. It is symbolism that we engage with for guidance, the circle: for healing, perfection, eternity, growth and return. I finished my walk through the shade and illumination knowing that I had found one of those things that bestows onto its finder an exhaltation of peace. This resource was uploaded by: Victoria
