Rambling Words On My Practice

I have been able to investigate the psyche as well as metaphysical and ontological philosophies in relation to the arts and the myth of the artist. I have become fascinated with the most simplest of concepts concerning the artistic mind and body, and its relation to time and the landscape. Philosophies are woven into one another, ideas and theories overlap and connect.

The properties of the self are reflexive (cognition pleasure pain desire will). Projects work towards constructing a system that sees the communication of experiences in relationships as its end - investigating rhythm of body/mind activity, meta substances, entities that are things . Gesture and mannerism practices the precision of intuition both in abstracted and figurative imaging.

Language is a staggering phenomenon in its simplicity and complexity, bewildering in its multi-faceted perspective. The experience of tackling texts sustains focus and one is able to observe the mind when faced with the abyss that seats itself between thoughts. The garnering of knowledge confronts ignorance and the perpetual `forgetting` is a practice that articulates a structure, an algorhythm for return.

It has been more than exciting to activate mind body and spirit, directing purpose to invention and experimentation within a full time studio practice.
