Nisha

My name is Nisha, and I am an experienced English Teacher of eight years. My specialisms are English Literature and Language, including GCSE, as well as teaching English as a foreign language. I also teach Functional Skills English.

I lived in London for over two decades and I currently reside in Norfolk, near the coast.

In my spare time I love films, reading, writing stories, walking and travelling as much as I can.

Availability: I am available for after school tutoring, Monday to Friday . I am experienced in teaching over zoom, so I can teach you, wherever you are!
I am also available over school holidays.

Experience: I trained in an all boys school and an academy in suburban London; after I gained my qualified teacher status, I taught at an academy in London, where I worked as a deputy head of year for nearly five years. Finally, after moving to Norwich last April, I worked as a cover teacher and tutor. I currently teach students with SEND and SEMH.

Alongside my degree in English Literary studies and 8 years of teaching experience, I have a post graduate certificate in teaching. I also hold a CELTA equivalent teaching English as a foreign language qualification.

I have been tutoring in person and online since 2020.
I teach students GCSE English, Functional Skills English and English as a foreign language, but I am also available to help with key skills, such as creative writing, reading comprehension and help with essay writing, including for A Level, BTEC and vocational courses.
I also have a masters in Psychology and know the AQA specification.
