Information about Geraldine
I have taught in mainstream secondary schools for many years, but changed to full time tutor over three years ago now, to achieve a greater work/life balance. I tutor English and History as my main subjects, which I teach to undergraduate level but I also tutor maths, science, law, psychology, government and politics and media studies.
I have to say I have never looked back! It has been exceptionally rewarding and my students have afforded me some brilliant results.
I am a very friendly and outgoing person and feel this really helps me in this job, as I am able to break down barriers and gain rapport quickly. This helps with my student`s confidence and impacts learning immediately.
I both help confidence as well as skill in the areas needed for my students. What gets said gets done! I allow them to think, do and be better.
Since the pandemic has stricken the UK, I have found online tutoring to be a revelation, and in some ways preferable to learning in person. It allows communicative and interactive learning, which is invaluable. It is an honour to be part of students lives and help in their journey of academic excellence.

My daughter was struggling with her work but after a lesson with Geraldine she was very happy and said it was very beneficial and helped her in her understanding of the work in her module. Geraldine thank you very much we really appreciate your help, my daughter was very stressed over the module and her upcoming assignments but now she has been able to move on and enjoy working through the complex work. My son has enjoyed working with Geraldine over the summer. She has really helped him catch up with his school GCSE English work. Geraldine has been very easy to communicate with, flexible and accommodating to our needs. Goals were appropriate and achieved rapidly. We would definitely recommend Geraldine.

My 15 year old son has had a number of history lessons with Geraldine and finds the lessons have been extremely helpful, he says that things are explained clearly and in a way that he can understand. We have been so impressed with her tutelage that my other son also requested lessons. Geraldine was also very flexible and did her best to accommodate us when we needed to change a lesson time.
I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a tutor.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys her lessons (English Language, A level)with Geraldine. Since studying with her, she has felt much more confident about her skills and applying them in the correct way.
