Information about Geraldine
I have taught in mainstream secondary schools for many years, but changed to full time tutor over three years ago now, to achieve a greater work/life balance. I tutor English and History as my main subjects, which I teach to undergraduate level but I also tutor maths, science, law, psychology, government and politics and media studies.
I have to say I have never looked back! It has been exceptionally rewarding and my students have afforded me some brilliant results.
I am a very friendly and outgoing person and feel this really helps me in this job, as I am able to break down barriers and gain rapport quickly. This helps with my student`s confidence and impacts learning immediately.
I both help confidence as well as skill in the areas needed for my students. What gets said gets done! I allow them to think, do and be better.
Since the pandemic has stricken the UK, I have found online tutoring to be a revelation, and in some ways preferable to learning in person. It allows communicative and interactive learning, which is invaluable. It is an honour to be part of students lives and help in their journey of academic excellence.
