I am a hardworking and passionate individual, with experience of working with children of all ages (and adult learners). I have various areas of expertise, including but not limited to: English (including EFL) Drama (including performing arts, acting & elocution) Music (including theory, piano, trombone & singing) Philosophy & RE Babysitting Proofreading (personal statements & CVs) the arts (including ballet, tap, modern, jazz dance and creative writing).

Availability: Evenings and weekends.

Experience: I have experience of working with children from a variety of backgrounds and am specialised in working with children with special educational needs, whether these be physical, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) or children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia or autism. I believe every child has the capacity to do great things and it is my job to help assess how they learn, in order to allow them to achieve to the very best of their ability. I am first aid trained, have completed STEPS training (behaviour management course) and have a current DBS. I am also able to work with children who need confidence building and have mental health difficulties, to teach them coping strategies, i.e. anger management. As well as this, I can assess for learning difficulties.

NB. With my travel policy I will consider students outside of 5 miles, if I have other students in the area. I will also take on students outside of my catchment area for an extra charge. The first lesson free of charge is a meet and greet session, with you and the student (or just yourself if you are an adult learner), where we will discuss needs, difficulties and complete assessments if needed.
