Health and Social Care & related subjects tutor with 16 years teaching experience on CACHE Childcare, Edexcel Health and Social Care and OCNW/AQA Psychology Access to Nursing & Child Development courses, Sociology, Citizenship & Employability at GCSE, A Level and Undergraduate level. More recently my role has involved planning, reviewing & developing learning resources, writing assessments and internal verification/ moderation of assessment tools and resources.


Often as learners we experience a lack of confidence or a drop in our motivation levels due to a number of personal reasons. I`m passionate about helping students gain their confidence back & improve assignment writing, projects, presentations & disertation planning, writing & drafting as well as basic grammar punctuation and spelling.


Learning can & should be fun and inspiring. I am able to make a real difference within my work as a one-to-one tutor, I`m passionate about enabling you to build your confidence & to foster positivity within your studies in order to motivate you.

I am willing & able to work with small groups if this is preferential, online or face-to-face.

Availability: Most days between 12 and 8pm and some days between 6 and 8pm.

Saturdays all day.

I have 18 years teaching training and lecturing, more recently this has progressed into writing courses and assessing standards within education.

I qualified with a PGCE in 1998 and i have taught at secondary (4 years - KS3 and 4) and further education lecturing (7 years - BTEC / GNVQ) and higher education - levels 4,5 & 6 (3 years). My current role involves planning, teaching, developing learning resources, writing assessments and internal verification of assessment tools and resources as I became self employed and began working as a freelancer.

In 2016 I was successfully appointed as a Standards Verifier for Pearsons Edexcel. I`m a motivational Speaker and I have done one-to-one tutoring for private clients since 2009. I use NLP & mindfulness techniques, I`m passionate about supporting students with dyslexia and other learning needs, including those with mental health & anxiety disorders.
