The core is the innermost part of the Earth.
Crust
The outer layer of the Earth on top of the mantle.
Crust (continental)
A thick part of the earth`s crust that contains large land masses.
Crust (oceanic)
A relatively thin part of the earth`s crust that contains large ocean basins. Erosion

Global Warming
The rise in the average temperature of the Earth`s surface.
Greenhouse Effect
The retention of heat in the atmosphere caused by the build-up of greenhouse gases.
Igneous Rocks
Formed from cooled magma, with minerals arranged in crystals. Examples are granite, basalt and obsidian. Mantle

The wearing down of rock by physical, chemical or biological processes
