This Essay intends to explore the theory that every German in world war two supported Hitler, they adored him for his vague, promiscuous and interesting policies and also the fact that he took them from being a small power, and made them great again. Or, on the contrary was feared, and used his policies to mask the fact that his people were scared, jumpy and backed into a corner, forced to trust (Look like they`re trusting) and ignore the fact of death camps and in-humane actions being performed by the Gestapo, SS and the Nazi Party.Hitlers policies were very vague, Well the Nazi Party`s policies were, they essentially promised to "Fix Germany" and "Make it great again" without revealing how they`d do it, when brought to power they done what promised, but they had other plans, hidden from the public, on the surface they were calm and ready to fix any problem that headed their way and for this the Germans had faith, hope in their leaders, the public may have been extremely oblivious about what was going on behind closed doors, they only saw the Nazi party and Hitler fixing things, Making Germany great again. Not everything else they were doing, This Suggests heavily that the Germans loved Hitler and supported him for his strategy and execution.Contrary to this people whispered, only whispers because certain individuals knew if they done anything more than whisper they would be caught out by The Gestapo, the SS, The Nazi Party. If you said anything against the party or Hitler then you would be taken to concentration camps, death camps, Tortured, Worked, Killed. This is shown by The Gestapo regularly making internal reports on the public mood, and certain underground opposition groups did the same. This points towards the fact people feared Hitler. Hitler enforced Terror, therefore it`s difficult for people in this century to know if all feared him or otherwise. Sure those who believed in everything he was saying supported him but some feared him and his power. In addition People Formed opposition groups against the Nazi`s it was difficult, Dangerous and daring to oppose the party, Opposition groups were usually formed by priests and people of high faith. Groups like the "White rose Group", "The Soft Circle" and "The Swing Kids" These different groups used varied tactics in the way they resisted, Some printed anti Nazi pamphlets and used graffiti to try and sway public opinion. Others Aided Jews in leaving the country and helped them set up a new life, other groups chose a counter cultural approach, youth enjoying American and allied music, spreading the truth about what was happening in Germany. Also performing petty crime or vandalism. This proposes the idea of Certain people being opposed to the party.Contradictory to This people volunteered to rat people out, To tell the Gestapo and SS about what people have been saying, Filling in reports on the mood and things people close to them, Family have been saying. The Gestapo were a secret police organization employing non traditional and inhumane methods on people of suspected disloyalty. This shows people volunteered to do some unspeakable things by telling the government about people close to them knowing that they would employ methods of torture and death. Therefore people must have supported the Nazi`s enough to go to this stretch. In conclusion I believe that some Germans loved Hitler, supported him through it all and idolized him however I also believe that people were scared of Hitler, The gestapo, The SS and their policies of dealing with certain people within the community. I think they backed people into corners when It came to their faith, uncontrolled variables about their lives and their beliefs.
