Thanks to Kate who convinced a sceptical student that with her help he could get a grade 4. She quickly identified the right buttons to push to motivate and highlighted where his schools approach may be hindering rather than helping his results. This summer he sat his fifth attempt at English GCSE and with the confidence and exam skills instilled by Kate over the previous 4 months achieved the illusive grade. Kate broke down the exam into smaller chunks that helped him to focus and despite the awful weather managed to keep or rearrange every appointment. I would recommend Kate to anyone looking for a tutor especially for frustrated sixth formers. I wish we had known her earlier."
