Information about Victoria
I have 22 years of experience in teaching English and Media at GCSE and A Level, and 20 years of experience in tutoring English at all ages. I can provide references if required - I have an excellent record of outstanding results with both my classes and with my tutees. My GCSE tutees for the most recent academic year, exceeded their traget grades and achieved grades 6-8, and over half of my Y11 class got a higher grade than predicted. As I am currently employed as a teacher, my DBS/CRB is fully up to date and can be verified online or with my school. I am a flexible, organised, hardworking, and effective teacher. I can plan sessions which are tailored to the needs of the individual and make them enjoyable and academically challenging. I look forward to hearing from you.
My charge is £50/hour
Availability: I am available to tutor at the weekends, in the evenings, and in the school holidays. Some lessons are online but if conveninent, can be in-person.

Experience: I have 22 years of teaching experience in five different comprehensive schools, teaching English, English Literature and Media Studies. I teach KS3, GCSE and A Level, and before having children was Head of English and Media Studies.

Victoria has been tutoring my son for Media studies. He is enjoying her sessions and is responding well. Victoria is very responsive and can be flexible. She is encouraging and clear with her approach. She also encourages my son to let her know what he wants to learn and has prepared well for lessons. I can thoroughly recommend Victoria.

Victoria is helping my Year 10 daughter with her GCSE English. Victoria is reliable, well prepared and communicates well. My daughter is becoming more confident and really enjoys her sessions. It is definitely helping and I would highly recommend Victoria.
