I provide 1 to 1 tuition online through zoom. This involves pupils learning through an interactive whiteboard, worksheets and past papers which I provide online as well as learning games that I can share from my computer. I have found online tuition to be extremely successful and most accessible for pupils from years 3 to 6. Year 1 and 2 children have also been able to learn successfully in this way when parents have assisted their child during lessons.

I successfully tutor a range of levels and adapt my approach according to the age, and needs of the pupil. Whatever your needs are, I provide a tailored approach to provide challenge and enable a child to progress.

I have helped a large number of pupils to pass their eleven-plus entrance exams for a range of schools. I have taught both the CEM and GL style questions for eleven plus. Therefore, I am familiar with both assessment types.

I am an experienced male primary school tutor with my own small children. My hobbies include sport, reading, going to the cinema and travelling. I have a large family, including a twin sister!

I offer professional tuition using a really patient, calm and caring approach. I will always do my best to ensure that a child understands a concept and will work hard to give them the best chance at making good progress. I feel a real strength of mine is being able to build a great working rapport with pupils and parents. Another strength is my ability to promote a confidence increase in mathematics whilst making quick progress.

Availability: A standard 1 to 1 lesson is 1 hour.

I am available before school each morning Monday to Friday and after school on Monday and Thursday. Whilst there are restrictions due to COVID, I am also available mornings and afternoons for lessons throughout the week.

Experience: I have taught in primary schools since qualifying in 2011 and gained class teaching experience with all year groups from nursery to year 6. I have particularly strong experience teaching lower key stage two (years 3 and 4).

As well as tutoring pupils 1 to 1 online, I also teach groups in an education centre. I tutor children for a variety of reasons such as to boost confidence, bridge gaps in learning, prepare for 11+/school tests and also to enable academically gifted children to excel further.

I am also an experienced marker of the KS2 reading test, therefore have a strong understanding of the requirements for reading at this level.
