Jane is an excellent tutor. My son has always struggled with English but Jane was able to pinpoint his problems and structured her tutoring to help with this. He has now passed his GCSE. I have no hesitation in recommending Jane as an English Tutor.

Absolutely over the Moon.
Our Child was having some serious emotional problems and missed out on the best part of two years education.
In a pretty intensive 4 months Jane managed to pull him from possible grade 2/3`s to grade 5`s in English Language, English Literature and History.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Thank you Jane, you saved his future. :-)

Jane, has had a couple of sessions teaching my 8 yr old son maths. He has felt comfortable with the lessons and understands the numbers, without getting worried about them as he did before.
so far so good he can not wait for his next lesson after the Easter holidays.

Jane was brilliant with our daughter. R has dyslexia and Irlens syndrome, and was struggling with the English subjects, especially with the current move away from course work towards exam performance. Disastrous mocks left R upset and stressed, and despairing for her exams. Jane calmed everything right down, and taught R coping strategies for exams. She also drilled R in spelling and grammar too. Jane has a wealth of experience with dyslexic children, and her calm, measured approach to tutoring has paid dividends with R. R passed both her English exam, and her improved literacy skills across her exam subjects helped her achieve 10/10 of her GCSE`s. Most importantly for our daughter, it has opened the door for her to continue her studies at the level she dreamed of. Thank you Jane!!

Jane has been coming to us since September 2017, tutoring our son (16) and daughter (14) in preparation for their English GCSE exams.
Jane is always punctual, friendly, patient and more importantly the children look forward to her visits.
Even in this short space of time our son feels a lot more confident in a subject he questioned his ability, he now finds it easier to answer questions more in depth and translate his ideas onto paper.
Our daughter enjoys the 1-1 as she is able to ask questions that in class she would not have the self confidence to do, Jane has helped her to be more methodical in her work and work better with structural questions.
We are very happy with how things are going and Jane is always accommodating and at the end of the phone.

Jane has been invaluable in helping our son focus his mind this year in the lead up to GCSEs, he has found the sessions really helpful and over the course of the year has certainly sharpened his A grade. Nothing was ever too much trouble, given our challenging schedule and Jane was always on time. Would recommend without a doubt and we are using again for our younger son.

Jane is a fantastic tutor, she is so supportive and understanding and gave my daughter a lot of confidence after she got very worried about the exams. She has complete knowledge of the GCSE syllabus and exam format, and knows how to access really useful resources. Abigail, Year 5, was before Jane came, 2 years behind, in all areas of literacy. After about 10 months she is now much more confident, and almost up to speed. This has made a massive difference in all areas of the curriculum. Thank goodness we found Jane!!

Jane has helped my dyslexic daughter understand English she now has loads of confidence. My only regret is she didn`t have private lessons years ago. Jane is an excellent English Teacher.

Jane is a wonderfull teacher, she is patient and understanding and takes the time to explain the subject matter in a way that is easy to comprehend. Her lessons are structured and informative she has the natural ability to encourage and build one`s self confidence in the subject of study. I always leave the lesson on a postive knowing that I have a teacher who is really interested in imparting her knowledge, and getting the best out of her pupil. I would not hesitate but to recommend her to anyone who wants to learn or is struggling to learn. In short Jane is a great teacher.
