I am an Engineering graduate with a First Class distinction in Electronics and Communication and throughout my university life I have tutored Mathematics.

I have trained people from different backgrounds, I have experienced various different teaching styles. These experiences have been extremely useful when tutoring as I am able to change my teaching style when necessary and adapt to the specific needs of the student and I have a full CRB check.

I have taught Maths to school students while I was studying university. I have previously worked as a software Engineer in an IT company where I mentored new staff in line with quality standards and have a depth of experience in various areas of software development.While most lessons take place face-to-face, I am experienced in tutoring online (via Skype, MSN messenger) and can help the students make the most of the experiences.

Availability: Saturdays and Sundays

Experience: I have taught Maths to school students who wanted to transition to secondary school and also taught while I was studying university. My experience in tutoring helps me identify a student`s strengths and weaknesses quickly. I will tailor my teaching to suit them, and therefore achieve results within a relatively short time. I will guide the student through exam papers, providing them with the knowledge, and exam techniques that are often overlooked at schools. I also help out with homework and coursework.

My students quickly gained the confidence and knowledge needed to do well in tests and exams. My lessons are usually a minimum of two hours long for students or one hour depends on student`s needs:
•30-50 mins covering topic area with worked examples
•30 mins completing questions set by Tutor
•20 mins optimising student`s answers
•10 mins explaining homework
•10 mins preparing for next week`s lesson with feedback

I have proved students can achieve the highest possible grades from being predicted fails. This just shows that it is possible for students to achieve the grades they believe are impossible.

All it takes is optimised studying techniques, tailored academic direction and dedication.
