Information about Khadija

Over the past three years I have taught various A Level and GCSE subjects, this includes: English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, GCSE Double and Triple Sciences.

Alongside this, I greatly enjoy teaching primary school content, such as preparing students for their 11 Plus entrance examinations (GL and CEM specifications). I also have experience assisting and leading classes in a primary school setting.

Having completed my studies and worked in two Junior and Infant schools, I am familiar with the national curriculum and several examination boards` requirements. Students have approached me under the following specifications: AQA, Edexcel Pearson, OCR and CIE.

Additionally, I know of and review set A Level and GCSE texts by a range of authors, playwrights and poets. Examples include: Shakespeare, Carol Ann Duffy, Orwell, Dickens, Adiche, the Brontës, George Eliot, and Alice Walker.

Working with agencies allows me to teach these subjects, notably English and the sciences at differentiated levels. I tutor in-person and online.

I endeavour to place my tutees` needs first. My aim is to bring about academic progress and cultivate enthusiasm for each subject. This is achieved by focusing on individual areas of interest and the syllabus.

In a one-to-one session, I will work on concepts that students are currently struggling with the most, followed by revision tasks which are known to be effective in the long term. Activities like blotting, question practice, discussions and unseen question analysis naturally feature in our sessions.

I am keen to help students achieve their potential. Excelling in a fun way whilst instilling curiosity in the subject matter and aspects beyond the syllabus is essential to my practice.

I hope the above is of use. However, if you have any queries, do get in touch.

I have taught a range of primary and secondary school subjects since 2020.

I began teaching Mathematics, English, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Creative Writing necessary for grammar and public school entrance examinations in 2021.

In 2018, I mentored GCSE English Literature and Language students at King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls.

I held and completed two primary school placements as a teaching assistant. During my placements, I led English and Mathematics intervention sessions and assisted staff with topic work, Computing, Sciences, Physical Education and Art. I spent a contracted amount of time at Colmore Junior and Infant School (7 months) and Ark Tindal Primary Academy (10 weeks).

I have also tutored with School Is Easy Tutoring and Warwick Tutors. The former began in March 2022, during which I taught A Level Biology (OCR and AQA), KS3 English and Independent Entrance Test Preparation. I have tutored A Level English Language and Literature with Warwick Tutors. Privately, I tutor subjects from GCSE Physics & Chemistry, to KS1 English and Mathematics.

Can`t recommend Khadija enough as a tutor. She was really great tutoring our daughter, always remaining calm with her and encouraging, but whilst also making sure she understood the various key techniques and areas of learning for 11+. Even better was that our daughter always came out of the lessons having enjoyed them! Thanks Khadija!
