Information about Rana

A second year Law Student who studies at the University of East Anglia (LLB Course).

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I am Rana , a second year Law Student at University of East Anglia. I have finished my 2-year study at Sixth Form in 2022, leaving with ABB grades in which I have studied A-Level Sociology, English Language and Psychology. As I enjoy English and writing so much, it was the best combination of A-levels as they were all essay-based subjects. I really enjoyed my time at Sixth Form as it has allowed me to gain confidence in my education and I felt more open when I asked my teachers for extra help on specific areas without having a feeling of embarrassment.

WORK EXPERIENCE
• In terms of work experience that links to teaching, for a few months before the pandemic occurred, I helped with a tutoring group called Kumon
• During this job, I helped primary school students with their English and Maths which I enjoyed a lot but I couldn’t continue this job for long due to the pandemic and I was devastated. I think I was upset when I couldn’t continue with this job I had because I loved the feeling of helping other students with their work, knowing that they didn’t understand a certain question.
• Even when I was in primary school, I would remember being in year 6 and I volunteered to play with the younger students who were in year one and two. I feel like I have always had this special power to be able to connect with children in a positive way. In addition, in year 10 I also did my two-week work experience at a primary school which allowed me to help those students in need. This work experience enabled me to work with year 1, 3 and 6 and it was honestly the best 2 weeks of my life.
• In addition, I worked at Waitrose Café for around a year which I believe I was quite good at my job as I am good at communicating and interacting with others. This job has allowed me to speak up and made sure that my voice was heard amongst others, knowing that I had the power and that what I said mattered, it really meant a lot for me.

KEY SKILLS
• Good at communicating clearly
• Teamwork
• Can adapt to changes quickly and am flexible
• Quick and got a lot of stamina
• Confident and not intimidated
• Good work ethic
• Reliable and responsible

ABOUT ME
• I am fluent in English and Turkish
• I love sports, with a Brown-White belt in kickboxing and a Level 12 badge in swimming
• As I am currently studying law, my plans for the future is to complete my masters after my Law degree and hopefully become a successful Barrister

I am a very hard-working student who has a lot of commitment to education and making sure that I can help whoever I can and to make them a better student. I believe that I can be a great tutor due to my past experiences at schools, students and being a tutor in the past. I am very bubbly, kind-hearted and I especially care and look out for others around me. By allowing me to become a tutor, I know that I will be very dedicated into changing my students’ education by improving their grades.
