Hi,
My name is Carol and I am an experienced, recently retired teacher with a wealth of experience across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
For many years I have had a special interest in the teaching of English and, using my wide subject knowledge, am passionate about helping all children to become fluent communicators and to succeed and enjoy the processes of reading and writing. I passionately believe that, given the correct one-to-one tuition, all children can develop strategies to get the most out of their learning.

I have a particular expertise working with children in years 5 and 6 preparing for their Year 6 SATS in English and Maths and building confidence in these subjects for their transition to secondary school. I also feel I have a lot to offer to Year 7 and 8 pupils who may have gaps in their learning as a result of disrupted school life over the past 12 months.
As an approachable, compassionate and friendly teacher, I love building positive relationships to help develop young minds and I would be delighted to discuss your specific situation to see what I can do to help your child make great progress, increase their confidence and enjoy learning.

Availability: I am available any week day during and after the school day and also on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
