I qualified with a PGCE for Primary in 1990, after completing a degree in History. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings. I have worked as a class teacher and a private tutor. I have also taught home-schooled children and worked for the Dyslexic Association.I am now working full time as a private online tutor.
Recently I have taught webinars to 500 pupils, covering material in the KS2 literacy curriculum.
I am very successful in helping children develop confidence and skills in maths and literacy. I have a high success rate for entrance exams to private schools. I have also helped struggling readers to become fluent readers.

Experience: I have 23 years experience teaching - 12 years as a class teacher, 18 years as a private tutor and group tutoring for special needs and dyslexic pupils. I am now offering online lessons to anyone in any part of the UK. I specialise in the following areas:
* 11 plus entrance exams to independent and grammar schools. I have a wealth of experience in this area, as a tutor, and as a Y5 teacher in a prep school. I have a high success rate.
* Helping those in KS2 who are struggling with maths and literacy
*Working with struggling readers or those with dyslexia. I am trained in the SRS (Sound Reading System) method , which is wonderfully successful in helping struggling readers of all ages to become fluent readers. My pupils have achieved amazing results using this method.
