I have been teaching English, Media and Film Studies for 8 years in a secondary school but transitioned to full time tutoring in 2019 as I have two young children. I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, teaching pupils between 7-18 years of age in 11+, SATS, GCSE, A Level and general literacy skills. I tutor pupils in 1:1 or 2:1 private sessions, small groups or large groups (up to 7 students) face to face or online. My resources are adapted to suit the needs of my pupils and all work is constructively marked to support learning.

I pride myself on being an approachable, creative educator and I enjoy finding ways to help my students engage with what they are learning. Technology and practical activities are key tools that I use to support my teaching.

I have a BA Hons in English Literature with Film Studies, a PGCE in Secondary Education, 4 A Levels (English Literature, Religious Studies, Psychology and Health & Social Care) and 10 GCSEs A*-C.
