Marie is a well qualified and experienced Psychology teacher, holding a MSc Psychology and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

She held the role of Head of Psychology at a prestigious independent school and has worked at three OFSTED rated `Outstanding` state schools. She has taught a wide range of courses including AQA, CIE and IB she possesses excellent psychological knowledge.

Marie has carried out Head of Department and Head of Year roles, totalling over 10 years teaching experience. She has worked for two UK Universities and therefore can also help with Personal Statements.

She is very passionate about Psychology and can suggest lots of learning beyond the specification if desired. Marie takes a take a very straightforward, structured approach in her teaching to help students digest complex theories and studies with ease. She also worked for HM Prison Service and within Marketing before training to be a teacher.

Experience: I have taught a wide range of courses including; A-level Business, A-level Psychology, IBDP Business, IBDP Psychology. GCSE Business, GCSE Psychology, BTEC Level 3 Business, BTEC Level 2 Business and Computing Key Stage 3. Teaching a wide range of courses have given me a wide and deep understanding of both subjects and identify what exam boards require.

I also possess a Certificate in Coaching from University of Warwick, which allows me to help students from an interpersonal level too. I have also completed training from the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MiSP) to teach 11-18 mindfulness.

I worked in industry prior to becoming a teacher. I worked at HM Prison Service on the Graduate Scheme and within two UK universities in marketing and recruitment. This experience helps me bring my teaching to life with real world examples. Due to my knowledge and expertise I have also helped many students with their Personal Statements who have gone on to a wide range of institutions including many Russell Group universities.
