Information about Jo
I have 22 years experience as a qualified special needs teacher and 12 years of providing private tutoring. My specialism is tutoring those with additional learning needs, including looked after children, social & emotional difficulties, autism, ADHD and those with sensory difficulties. I am also qualified and experienced in teaching Psychology, Sociology, English, Maths and a range of primary subjects.I teach people of all ages, both on and off line.
After qualifying to be a teacher, I taught teenagers with special needs in a school in Leeds, I had to leave this after my son (now 14) was born and I have since offered private tuition and ran a tutoring agency. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family, we have a VW campervan and I am trustee of a small charity.
Availability: I currently have availability in my tutoring timetable, I am flexible as to which days and times these are. Please contact me for further information, I am sure we can agree a mutually agreeable time.

Jo has been working with my 13 year old son who has Asperger`s Syndrome for the last month. Shehas been patient and flexible with him, and he is already producing a higher standard of work than he was when she first came. Jo has a good understanding of children with additional needs and I would definitely recommend her.
