I have a MA (Industrial Sociology) and PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I have been teaching for more than 12 years. I have left the classroom and the long hours and mountains of marking. I will give you my full attention and the flexibility to have lessons at times that suit you. I offer private tuition to: undergraduate, A-Level, AS and GCSE Sociology, GCSE English students, 11+ tuition (including English and Maths).
I offer :
*support and guidance for Academic skills/proofreading at undergraduate/postgraduate level.
* Support with PGCE/Education degrees (undergraduate and postgraduate).
*Extended Project Qualification and advice for those wanting to improve their revision techniques and essay writing.

Over the years, I have tutored UK and International students
I am experienced in teaching home-schooled, online, international and mature students for GCSE/A level in English and Sociology AQA, EDEXCEL, Cambridge.

I have guided Sociology and Social Work uni students with their tasks, literature reviews, methodology, dissertations etc.

Experience: My `tutoring package’ for 11 plus students provides parents with regular and honest feedback after each session, whereby we can discuss the child`s confidence level/attitude to learning, assessments and concerns. We can look at progress and targets which will further support their child. I always give homework to be completed during the week and give immediate feedback at the end of each session. Gaps in knowledge are identified and addressed as part of the improvement process.

For undergraduate and postgraduate university students, specialising in Sociology and Social Work. My strength is in research methods skills, and over the years I have supported a number of uni students with their research papers, support with tasks, literature reviews, methodology, including university dissertations.
