I am a qualified and experienced Primary teacher with a strong background in Special Needs. I can provide tailored support for your child if they are experiencing difficulty with any aspect of Literacy or Maths at Key Stage One, Two, preparation for the Transfer Test and beyond into Key Stage Three.
I am passionate about creating engaging and personalised lessons to raise pupil attainment and Im studying for my Masters in Education in my spare time. Your child will benefit from the guidance of an experienced teacher who will support them through every step of their learning journey.
I make lessons fun and engaging so that pupils enjoy every session and are motivated to learn.
Knowing how and when to assist and when to step back and facilitate independence is crucial in promoting a successful learning outcome. I have always adapted my teaching to the individual needs of my pupils, not least during a pandemic and the subsequent road to recovery! My approach is child-centred and focused on building pupil knowledge, understanding and skills at their own pace of learning.
Drawing from a wealth of teaching experience in Northern Ireland, England and abroad, I have worked hard to build my tutoring business here in the UK. I offer support for Primary English, Maths, NI Transfer, SATS,11+ Preparation and GCSE Maths. Having specialist training and an engaging teaching style, I have created and maintained an exciting online virtual learning environment. Using a mixture of effective and interactive activities, I keep children engaged and motivated in every session.
I am qualifying to Masters level in Special Needs Education with a distinction at PGCE. My DBS enhanced security clearance certificates (Access NI for Northern Ireland citizens) is current and is available upon request.
I look forward to meeting you and your child.
