As an educator, I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Classics (Hons) from the University of Palermo, Italy (1998-2003) and a Diploma di Studi Avanzati (equivalent to an Italian PhD) from the School of Advanced Study in Classical Archaeology at the University of Catania, Italy (2004-2007). I furthered my studies with a D.Phil. in Classical Archaeology from the University of Oxford, Wolfson College (2010-2014) and obtained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Latin with Classics from King’s College London in 2015, following the completion of my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

I have a wealth of experience in teaching Latin and Classics in both state-funded and independent schools. As a specialist in teaching Latin, I am qualified to teach at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and have extensive experience in preparing students for AQA and Edexcel examination boards. Additionally, I have experience teaching Italian language and literature, and I am a native speaker of Italian.

Throughout my career, I have held several leadership roles, including Subject Leader for Classics and Latin. I am passionate about working with students who have special educational needs, including those with neurodiversity and emotional needs, and have received training in SEN teaching.

Availability: Monday -Friday: 9 am- 2 pm
Saturday: 9 am-12 am

Experience: As a tutor, I have had several years of experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I have tutored both in person and online, and I have experience working with students with a range of needs, including those with learning disabilities and emotional needs.

My tutoring experience includes working with students in Latin, Italian, and English language and literature. I have also prepared students for various exams, including the Common Entrance Exam, GCSEs, and A-levels.

In my tutoring practice, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment that allows students to feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. I believe that every student is capable of success, and my role as a tutor is to help them realize their potential. I use a variety of teaching techniques, including personalized lesson plans and engaging activities, to ensure that my students remain motivated and interested in the subject matter.
