Hi, my name’s Freya!

I’m a recent UCL graduate with a first-class honours degree in Psychology. I’m moving to Peckham and I have a love of teaching. I provide academic support across the board up to Key Stage 3, including all elements of the 11+. I also tutor Biology up to GCSE, Spanish and Psychology up to A-Level and English as a Second Language. I’m bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

My degree gave me invaluable insight into the importance of emotional well-being and that a tailored approach to education facilitates growth and learning. I make homework fun for anybody! With a love for theatre and dance, I place an emphasis on imagination and creativity in my work, encouraging children to explore their potential in all walks of life.

My fees start at £;35 an hour depending on the subject and I’m available during some weekday afternoons/evenings and on Saturdays. I’ve worked for a number of different tutoring agencies in West London and can provide a CV and references on request. [contact detail removed]

Experience: Tutor for three agencies (2018-2021)
I provided academic support across the board up until Key Stage 3 and tutored Spanish, Biology and Psychology up until A-level. I tutored four evenings a week alongside university throughout my final year at UCL, which has enhanced my time management and my ability to work with students on a one-to-one level. I also continued tutoring during the summer holidays and autumn term.

English as a Foreign Language Tutor (2017)
I tutored two Spanish students English as a foreign language in order to prepare them for boarding school in England. This included day trips around London during numerous weekends to showcase British culture.

Spanish AS Level and Biology GCSE Teaching Assistant (2014-2016)
I assisted my biology teacher during her GCSE lessons, helping with marking and aiding students individually who were struggling with the subject by clarifying syllabus content and going through practice papers. As a bilingual speaker of English and Spanish, I also worked in the Spanish department, helping students practice speaking and writing.

Working with children with learning disabilities and/or autism (2014-2016)
I helped children in year 7, 8 and 9 with learning disabilities and/or autism complete homework and classwork and was a reader and scribe during their tests.
