I am a competent and enthusiastic health care professional and tutor who believes in adapting the teaching style combining various methods in order to tailor for the individual student. I am suitably qualified and experienced in developing intensive learning plans and can provide key techniques for exam preparation.

I am proficient in providing in-depth support for students who are struggling to meet pass grades or those reaching for higher marks in assessments throughout a range of recent exam board syllabuses.

Experience: I have studied at some prestigious university institutions and have the necessary undergraduate and post graduate degree qualifications and PGCE in secondary teaching. I have a wealth of scientific knowledge with respect to the core curriculum. I always keep up to date with developments both in this area, and with respect to current teaching and learning practice.

A key element during my PGCE was to gain a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Science and Biology. In my past teaching experience I have included ICT in my tutoring/teaching and also engaged pupils in ICT-based learning activities, which helps to improve both their scientific and computing skills. I have a number of ICT resources which I have used in lessons, and I am continually developing these.

During my PGCE I had worked as a Biology teacher at a very successful co-educational independent school. I was fully immersed in school life, teaching to all age ranges and levels, providing support with gifted and talented students helping with extra-curricular activities and marking mock A-level Biology exam papers using the structured marking scheme given. I also provided advice and feedback to improve the independent and collaborative study skills necessary for effective revising and learning techniques.

I have tutored at prestigious independent institutions and am always well prepared and equipped with useful resources such as past papers, revision notes, questions on specific topics, marking and feedback of assessments and homework and have utilised PowerPoint presentations and work sheets on each topic area which have all been effective.

I am constantly striving to perfect my teaching style and all my degree programmes have provided a solid foundation for producing innovative and well designed lesson plans for tutoring.
