I am a tutor, artist and academic and creative writer. Last year, I graduated with a bachelor`s degree in Fine Art with First Class Honours. In the coming September, I will be commencing my two-year Master`s degree in Art Psychotherapy.
My tutoring experience reaches back many years, where I have worked both privately and in educational institutions with students ranging from the age of 4 up to adult learners. My experience also covers SEN settings and students, and have had specific key training in tailoring my teaching style to each individual student.
My key areas of expertise are English (literature, language, poetry, journalism, creative writing, etc) and all Art based subjects, though I have extensive experience tutoring across the board. Included in my services that I have to offer are; Dissertation and Thesis prep and review, essays and personal statements, traditional and expressive art and creation, just to name a few. Education is a huge passion of mine, and I believe all are capable of excellence with the correct, tailored help for them. 
My teaching method is all based upon you and your needs. Through my training and extensive experience, I have learned that every individual has a unique learning style that aids them in reaping the most benefits out of their learning journey. I recognise that the traditional curriculum is not ideal for everyone, and it is my goal to adjust this so that it makes sense for you. First, I try and feel out what your style is, have an open discussion about your expectations of me, and what you have struggled with in the past. I love coming up with new, creative ways to facilitate people`s development, and find myself to be a forward thinking, open minded person; with compassion and empathy at the core of my personal values. 
I have acquired a new DBS certificate (November 2020) which is now on the update service, which updates every 3 months.

Experience: I have experience running workshops as a Creative Expression Coach, school Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, and as a Catch Up Tutor which encompasses art therapy in the curriculum.
Tutoring experience is with adults, children, and young adults - this is something I have been doing freelance for the last couple of years.
Currently, I am employed by South Central Ambulance Service, as well as at an academy on a one-to-one basis, with some group sessions, where I manage up to four students in STEM subjects at any given time (and helped to build the art/ therapy curriculum).
This Academy has students ranging from the age of 7 up to 17.

I also work in theatre, and am comfortable teaching technical skills, set & prop design skills, and performing arts/ acting.

Previous extensive experience in journalism spanning the past 9 years.
