I am a confident, committed and enthusiastic tutor, keen on building my tutees educational prospects and abilities. I am currently a Teaching Assistant at Tubbenden Primary School and last year I graduated from the University of Surrey with a First class degree in BSc Psychology. I have been tutoring for over 6 years and have had very positive reviews, please see below! I focus on teaching the correct exam techniques to enable my pupils to improve their marks. This I reinforce with practice, through examples, past papers and exam questions. I help my pupils analyse any mistakes and explore why certain answers are correct and therefore gain higher marks, ensuring they have a full understanding of the subject. My previous tutoring experience has allowed me to meet high expectations and deliver consistent support and learning for pupils and parents. My tutees enjoy my effective and engaging tuition and achieve faster and greater improvement in their subjects.

I purchase the most current assessment and test books for my students, such as Bond as well as other key publishers. I help with homework and with exam technique. I provide test papers and break down the exam specifications, I think this is very important as then my pupils know exactly what the examiners are asking of them and can tick all these boxes in preparation for the exam!

Experience: I have tutored a wide range of pupils over the years and have a large amount of experience from helping very young pupils aged 5 and 6 in English and Maths, to 16 and 17 year old pupils in GCSE Maths and A level Psychology. I have tutored the 11+ including verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths and comprehension. Overall, I have tutored A level students, GCSE students, KS3 students and primary school children.
