Jagvi

Hi, my name is Jagvi and I am currently a 2nd year Medical Student at Imperial College London. Medicine for me is a perfect blend of theoretical and practical science, and being a social individual I also find it incredibly rewarding to help others. Alongside my degree, I enjoy music, cooking and reading, and I am also passionate about teaching. Having had several years of experience in the field already, I am looking to help inspire and guide new students at a range of academic abilities.

Being a student myself, I know the importance of active and engaging learning. When teaching, I like to use exam-style questions and interactive activities to consolidate ideas and provide an efficient learning experience for my students, whilst also tailoring lessons around their existing learning style. Having achieved 4A*s at A level (Biology, Chemistry, Geography and EPQ), 2As at AS level (Maths, Computing) and a full set of top grades at GCSE, I am confident my learning and teaching strategies are effective not only for examinations, but also for sparking students’ interests.

My lessons will be structured to help students understand and engage with difficult concepts, as well as to recap key learning points they may encounter in exams. I base my teaching around exam specifications and follow up new content with exam-style questions, to provide a well-organised learning experience that I myself have used for both

Experience: I have had several years of experience in teaching, spending 4 years in the field under both large companies and as an independent private tutor. I have previously taught and continue to teach students of a wide range of ages and abilities, and have picked up the most effective and engaging tools to help my tutees over the years.
