I am a highly motivated Qualified Teacher with experience in the area of learning support and language teaching. I have a broad based background that has allowed me to develop many different skill sets and knowledge.
I studied Greek philology (with QTS) and later I obtained a Master’s degree with focus on Primary Education. The main subjects were bilingualism, acculturation, boys’ underachievement, supporting vulnerable and refugee students, children literature, foundations of learning and research methods in Education.
I worked for many years as a Greek Language teacher supporting foreigners and refugees with their learning. I planned lessons and activities based on students’ needs. Moving to the UK I have begun a new step by step career. I am working as a Supply Teacher, Cover Supervisor, Afternoon Club Teacher and Learning Support assistant in various schools across North London. My main duties is to cover lessons following teacher’s lesson plan and assist student with their learning tasks. I had a long-term assignment with an autistic 8 years boy, as a one to one teacher. The boy was in a special needs school but his parents decided to move him into a mainstream school. I supported the child in various lessons such as English and Maths. I had the authority from the teachers to adjust his lesson plan. I also assisted him with his physical needs, like lunch support, swimming and clothes changing. During my assignment in the school, the child increased his performance, especially, his reading and writing skills and became more independent. Later, I had Cover supervisor bookings that helped me to gain skills in classroom control, management and behaviour. I moreover received teaching bookings that helped me to understand the UK teaching system.
One of the main goals of my life is to support and encourage children and young people to achieve their full potential. I have passion with classroom environment and I want to focus exclusively on it. I am proactive speak three languages- Greek, English and Russian.

Availability: I am mostly available after 4:30pm. However, we can schedule the lessons via massage contact.
