The decision to pursue studies in both Informatics Engineering and Education was a conscious one because it fully reflected my passion for new technologies and my love for children. Growing up in a family where the mother worked as Nursery Teacher helped me understand the value of learning and the amazing potential of children. As a pupil and as a student I often enjoyed babysitting and organizing creative activities for children.
For the last 12 years I have been travelling all over Greece, being assigned teaching roles in various areas. The last 6 years I have been working as a Maths and Computer Science teacher in London. Every student is unique and also every community. On many occasions the resources were limited and I met the challenge of creating tools to work with the students and ensure their engagement. Coming up with new ideas and implementing them has always been one of my advantages. This trait has been often praised by the parents and it has led students to outstanding performance.

Experience: I have 13 years of experience overseas. The last 6 years I have been working in a secondary academy in London as Maths and Computer science teacher. In the oast I have worked in both secondary and primary schools in the UK which gave me a thorough understanding of the British Curriculum. I have extensive experience in A/AS levels. I hold a Master in Education from the Roehampton University and a BSc with 2:1 in Computer Science. Being qualified with the British QTS, I am eligible to work in a variety of roles covering the full range of National Curriculum of any age group.

Great tutor. I am currently in Year 13 but she tutored me when I was in Year 11. She also tutored my brother who was in Year 7. Very good teacher makes lesson enjoyable.

I would most definitely recommend Maria for maths tuition.

Maria is a very friendly tutor.She is always well organised and dedicated.
Maria has helped my son gain more confidence and knowledge in maths and also computer Science programmes.My Son recently obtained an exceeding grade in a computer science programme test.I have no doubt that he will do well in is next maths assessment.

Maria was very professional and honest. After receiving payment for sessions that weren`t used in the end (because of my stepdaughter`s schedule), Maria returned the money. I would highly recommend Maria to anyone.

Maria Ioanna is a very kind, friendly and patient person. which is the most important things in our situation as our child is a difficult one having problems in learning. We clearly see improvements in maths and soon we`ll start English lessons as well.
