Information about Sara
My name is Sara. I went to primary and secondary school where I excelled in both Cambridge O`levels (As for Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Physics, Geography, History and Art) and A`level Maths, Art and Geography. I then went on to study a Bachelor of Social Science degree and passed with a 2:1. My CIPD qualification has enabled me to work in a variety of positions in Human Resources. However, after having children I decided to become a tutor as I really enjoy helping people and it also gives me the flexibility to choose when I can work.
Availability: Monday and Friday from 630pm onwards.
Saturday and Sunday 4pm onwards.
Willing to travel: 4 miles
Experience: Tutoring has been my profession for the past 4 years. I initially gained experience through a tutor agency as they provided advice and gave support when needed. Fast forward a few years and I ultimately ended up advertising myself on Tutor Hunt.
I have completed a 11+ training course to become knowledgable in this area. As a result, I am familiar with the requirements for 11+ for various schools and some of my students have won scholarships.
I also have had some hands on experience with autistic and dyslexic students.
I have had the experience of working with many extremely bright students who are very determined to excel as well as those students who are tending to struggle and as a result lack confidence as well.
I feel well placed to understand how one to one tutoring can be most effectively targeted to provide the best support and compliment school learning. I am confident that I can tutor students of varying abilities.
I am able to provide:
regular support (includes help with homework)
one off help with a particular topic
revision including intense courses in the run up to exams
Tutoring Approach:
Encouraging and friendly, all sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the student, providing support to improve grades and build confidence.
DBS Check: Yes

Sara tutored my daughter from mid way through year 5 in Maths and 11+ preparation. During this time my daughter progressed quickly and became very confident in her abilities. Sara always came to our house on time, was well prepared and built a good rapport with my daughter. She is a very approachable and friendly lady and would give feedback after every session. My daughter is now in year 6 and has received offers from the three private schools we applied for as well as a scholarship. I would highly recommend Sara!

Sara is working very well with our daughter catching her up in areas where she has fallen behind. She is fun and strikes up a good relationship with children but also keeps the sessions on task!
