Hello! I`m a fully qualified and experienced teacher of secondary Religious Education, History and English Language and Literature with experience of teaching years 7 to 13. I have taught Anthropology, Philosophy and Media in the FE sector, currently teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at Leeds City College, and have tutored children for the 11+ and school entrance exams in the past.

I also specialise in Holocaust education and work as an educator for the Holocaust Educational Trust on the Lessons from Auschwitz programme. In addition, I teach at the National Holocaust Centre near Newark, and work with all ages from children in years 5 and 6 to secondary students to adults.

In my other work, I am a fully qualified and experienced Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP)
Advanced Professional copy editor and writer. I am Level 2 in British Sign Language and speak French, German and some Arabic.

Availability: I usually have more availability on Thursday, Friday and at the weekends, but it is best if you contact me to discuss. I actually live near Wakefield but work near the centre of Leeds, so cover both areas.

Experience: I have a secondary PGCE in RE but also teach History in secondary schools. I`ve also taught Media, Anthropology, Citizenship, Critical Thinking and Ethics to 16+ and adults. I hold the Celta English teaching qualification and am currently doing Delta.

I`m also a copy editor specialising in religion, theology and history and have worked for many big-name educational publishers, including Pearson, Macmillan (for whom I have written three RE textbooks) and Collins. I train copy editors for the Publishing Training Centre and Society for Editors.
