Maisie

I am a first class and award-winning Psychology graduate from the University of Sheffield, who is about to commence a masters degree in Psychological Research Methods and Advanced Statistics. I have experience tutoring Psychology, and English. I am patient, approachable, and motivated to teach the subjects I love.

Experience: I have experience tutoring GCSE French and Spanish, English language to international students, and I completed my degree in Psychology (first class).

Psychology
I achieved a first class grade in all of my second and third year modules in psychology, including:
- Research methods and statistics
- Social psychology
- Neuroscience
- Cognitive psychology
- The psychology of sleep
- The science of emotion
- Criminal psychology

My dissertation was entitled `The effect of bilingualism on working memory: an inhibitory perspective`, and my research was carried out in the area of cognitive psychology.

Upon graduating from my psychology degree, I won 2 awards:
- The Harry Kay award for the highest graded dissertation in the field of cognitive psychology.
- The Marples prize for my overall degree performance which placed me within the top 3 of my year group.

French and Spanish:
I studied French and Spanish at degree level for one year, and have tutored GCSE French and Spanish. I teach grammar, help with reading and writing, and practice conversational speaking.

English:
I studied linguistic and teaching modules at university. I can help international students learn English grammar, pronunciation and speaking skills, and improve their reading and writing abilities.
