Information about Chris

I have taught English for 25 years, from Key Stage 3 to A Level (including English Literature, English Language, and the combined English Language and Literature course). I have been a Head of English for seven years and an assistant head of sixth form. I can offer tuition from Year 7 through to A Level, and can also offer help with writing UCAS personal statements and stylistic/proof-reading advice on undergraduate and masters` theses.

I have also taught GCSE Media Studies and A Level Film Studies, and I can also offer tuition in both subjects.

I have been a senior examiner for GCSE English Language and am currently a Senior Moderator for GCSE English Language/Literature.

Availability: I am flexible with my availability and can usually fit in with your requirements.

Still early days as Chris has provided two 1 hour sessions so far. Chris is however clearly enthusiastic and engaging. My 13 year old boy has thoroughly enjoyed his 1:1 lessons and really feels that he will benefit from them in the longer term. Money well spent.
