James

I am a qualified university senior lecturer with good experience in tutoring Maths and computing at various levels. I graduated from top-tier Russel Group universities (Universities of Warwick, Nottingham) with a first-class Honors degree, Masters and PhD, all in computer science. I have good knowledge of KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level curricula and my teaching is strictly in line with them. Additionally, I teach students who are preparing for 11 plus and other school entrance exams. I appreciate that different people have different learning needs, and always deliver tailored tutoring sessions on that basis. I am an engaging and motivating tutor and very patient in explaining topics. I have a recent DBS (formerly CRB) check, meaning that your child is always safe with me.

GCSE and A-level exams are becoming harder nowadays, and students need a supportive tutor, who has a strong academic background, sound knowledge of latest curriculum and various exam boards (e.g., AQA, OCR, Edexcel). I am fully committed to working with my students to achieve a grade better than the "target grade".
