I have been a Primary School Teacher for many years and I am passionate about helping children to develop confidence and resilience in their learning. Once they believe in themselves and their ability to make progress, half the battle is won. As a teacher and tutor, I help pupils to do this through carefully assessing where they are in their understanding and developing a personalised programme to build on this and fill any gaps. The joy of 1:1 tuition means that this can be completely responsive to the changing needs of the child.

Availability: After school, weekends and school holidays

Experience: I have been a Primary School Teacher for 22 years and during this time I have taught all year groups from Reception up to Year 6. I have experience working with children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.

I finished classroom teaching in December 2019 and I was on the Senior Leadership Team as English Lead for ten years until my departure. I also worked as a Gloucestershire Lead Teacher for Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) for ten years, requiring me to work with many different teachers and pupils in a wide range of schools.

I have experience of tutoring children in all the primary phases as well as providing more specialised tuition for pupils working towards the 11+ exam.
