I am a highly competent and extremely well organised primary school teacher and private tutor.
I have a wealth of 1 to 1 tuition experience and an innate devotion and belief that learning should be individualised and inspiring.

I believe that each child learns differently and therefore my tuition services are purely bespoke. My tailored tuition services are available to students aged 3-11years. I actively encourage a creative and flexible approach to education. All of my tuition sessions are designed to raise the attainment, progress and perhaps most importantly, the confidence of children, of all abilities in English and Maths.

I am a member of the Tutors Association and an avid follower of the current changes to education!

**** UPDATE**** EASTER BOOSTER COURSE

I am running an exclusive English and Maths booster course with a sports camp during the afternoons.
The Easter Booster course is an intensive five day course designed to raise the attainment and progress of children, of all abilities in English and Maths. This course will enable children to be assured of their skills when faced with upcoming examinations and assessments in the Summer Term.

The course will be taking place at a school in Lyne, Chertsey, Surrey.

Experience: Having taught in an outstanding primary school for 10 years I have gained a wealth of experience. I Throughout my time at this establishment I have been responsible for the academic progress of a range of children aged 4-11 years. I have also been a designated member of the Senior Leadership team and have been Subject Co-Ordinator (Leading the subject for the whole school) for the following areas English, Assessment and Early Years. I have been graded as an OUSTANDING teacher by OFSTED numerous times and have the documentation to prove this.

Throughout my career as primary teacher I have been lucky enough to attend some of the most innovative and up to date training courses and conferences which have enabled me to deliver powerful lessons both in the classroom and in a child`s home thus improving their academic ability rapidly.

I have given private tuition lessons in both English and Maths for nine years, I have worked with a range of children of differing ages and abilities. My principal aim has been to build rapport and instill confidence in each and every child.

Throughout my time as private tutor I have liased with parents of children in both private and state schools. The children who I have tutored have attended these private schools: Manor House, Guildford, Bishopsgate, Englefield Green, Halstead Preparatory, Woking, Lady Eleanor Holles Hampton, Newlands House Twickenham, St Catherines Twickenham, Staines Preparatory Staines, The Knightsbridge School, London to name a few. In fulfilling my role as private tutor I have gained a huge insight in to the entrance examinations and requirements of each year group within these schools. Many of my pupils have had tuition in the lead up to an entrance exam and 100% have got into their first choice school.

The majority of my tuition requests have come from recommendations, this proves that parents are very much satisfied with my approach and style of teaching.

I have a deepened understanding of language aquisiton- to this end I have, time and time again utilised this skill by giving private tuition to children where english is not their first language. I focus on vocabulary development, building confidence and feeding this into a child`s Creative Writing ability.

I am aware that children learn at different rates and paces and that children will have varying abilities. My aim is that all children fulfill their potential and have a firm grasp of new concepts and ideas.

When first meeting a new client, I will always ensure that I am clear about what the parent wants to gain for their child. After an initial assessment, I will devise a `Programme of Study` which will demonstrate what I plan to teach. From then on I will always discuss my aims for each lesson, at the beginning of the lesson and offer feedback to the parent at the end of the lesson. As part of my service to you, I offer a range of feedback- written, verbal or via email.
I am also willing to set homework and recommend appropriate resources to help your child.

Living in Chertsey close to the station I am willing to also teach children in my home- I am fully DBS (Formerly CRB) checked.

I provide excellent results, a very high success rate and recommendations from satisfied parents.I have a deepened understanding of how children learn best.
