We discussed the themes of the film to great lengths, in which I could be asked to analyse and explain in essays. This was complimented with essay practice both in timed and non timed conditions enabling me to understand about how to write an A-level French essay. For the speaking we covered the content through both listening and writing exercises, this geared me up for paper 1 as well. Mira also gave me her own handmade notes on the sub themes. I was tested through speaking cards, which made sure that I could apply what I knew to discussion questions presented to me on any subtheme,(applying knowledge is essential at A-level). Mira also made sure that I was confident to present and discuss my IRP as well- I studied a comparison of two French short stories by Maupassant. I am now hoping to study French at university.
