"I cannot thank Therese enough. My son was panicking with three weeks to go before his GCSE French. Her immense experience and organised approach allowed him to make sense of the requirement for each aspect of the exams. Her professional attitude and support was mixed with a large helping of kindness that gave him the much needed confidence that was lacking prior to her intervention. Thank you so much."
"I have had Mira as a tutor for 2 years and she has really inspired my love for the French language. I was taken away by her kindness and concern not only for my academic progress but for my personal well-being. This was comforting particularly when exam season was approaching with stress! I was also happy with the way that she planned our lessons. I told Mira if I had struggled with anything at school and this would be fitted into her planned lessons for me which were beneficial as I didn`t have to plan what we would cover. She worked in such a systematic format, to which I felt confident that we were covering everything that I needed to know relevant to the specification. For the Writing paper I read the book `Un sac de billes` and watched the film `Au revoir les enfants.` Mira read the book with me in French making it much easier, making sure that that the plot and the language being used were understood. For homework she set me chapter by chapter questions on the book which really reinforced what I had read making revision easier. We discussed the themes of the film to great lengths, in which I could be asked to analyse and explain in essays. This was complimented with essay practice both in timed and non timed conditions enabling me to understand about how to write an A-level French essay. For the speaking we covered the content through both listening and writing exercises, this geared me up for paper 1 as well. Mira also gave me her own handmade notes on the sub themes. I was tested through speaking cards, which made sure that I could apply what I knew to discussion questions presented to me on any subtheme,(applying knowledge is essential at A-level). Mira also made sure that I was confident to present and discuss my IRP as well- I studied a comparison of two French short stories by Maupassant. I am now hoping to study French at university. Thank you Mira for a wonderful two years and for influencing my decision to study French at uni. "
"Murielle helped my son in his last GCSE year. She quickly found out what he needed to know and worked effectively with him. During that time his confidence in speaking French improved greatly. He very much enjoyed the sessions and I am certain that his grades improved because of Murielle`s help.
Would highly recommend her."
"I would highly recommend Julia as a tutor. My daughter started German lessons just a few weeks ago and in a very short time she has gained so much confidence and feels a lot happier. The change is amazing and after every lesson my daughter comes out buzzing and says she learnt so much.
Highly recommended!"
"Sylvie is very loyal and has excellent work ethics. She was my best support when I started teaching. As a Head of French, she helped me understand my new role as a teacher whilst I was completing my QTS. Everything I know about exams I learnt with Sylvie who was able to guide me. Sylvie and I still meet regularly to share good practice in MFL. She will be an asset to any institution that is looking for a reliable professional."
"Beth has worked in both France and Spain when completing her degree in BA French & Spanish. I am confident that she has the language and interpersonal skills to assist students through tutoring."
