"When I found Lucilla, I had been looking for a Tutor for my little boy for a long time without success. He has a passion and thirst for learning and I was out of my depth in supporting him and at risk of teaching things "wrong" compared to what he will be going on to learn at school. I was looking for someone to work with him in an engaging, fun and age appropriate way to encourage his enthusiasm without putting any pressure upon him. Because he was not yet 4, most tutors told me they weren`t able to support him and I had been looking for the right person for a very long time. When I came across Lucilla`s profile I was immediately excited and felt she had the right background and experience to support my little boy. Lucilla was quick to answer messages and helpful in her communication. I immediately felt that I had found the right tutor for my son. In the first session, my son was visibly delighted with his "new friend". The work set was appropriate and fun. Lucilla has a fantastic rapport with him (which is not always easy to do via Zoom!). At the end of the first session my son cried that it was time to finish as he wanted to carry on "playing" with his new friend. Every week the lesson follows a similar routine which suits my now 4 year old but develops a little further the topic they are working on. His writing has come on leaps and bounds and he really looks forward to his sessions. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend Lucilla for any child looking for support. I was seeking support for an "advanced" child, but I have no doubt that Lucilla`s personality and ability to engage would benefit children needing extra educational support as well as advanced support. "Ms.April is our first tutor from Tutor hunt. To begin with ,I was rather dubious about the whole idea , but I do not regret a bit. Ms. April is an amazing teacher and a true professional. My youngest son who is in year 2 has difficulties to understand basic math concepts and also missed few math topics during pandemic . Ms. April has established great engagement and managed to keep very fidgety child attached to the screen . The Improvements he has had over a few lessons are incredible.
