Most schools and universities focus on conveying a large amount of information to their students. But for most people that is not enough to create genuine understanding and an ability to answer exam questions. That is why many students, regardless of their ability, seek to get extra help from a private tutor. Here is when I come into the picture. What I try to do is, instead of filling their lives up with endless information, I split them up into 7 different components of teaching. 1) Identify Starting point - where I should start from and how much information is enough for each topic so that the student does not get confused or feel pressurised. 2) Set goal - I will ensure that The set goal will be reached no matter what. If the student does not like too much details in one day, I will split it up into several lectures, and teach more, if necessary, free of extra costs. 3) Close the Gap - This is what really communicates the student and the pupil. No student is perfect. Each and every one of them have their own flaws. But my work is not to emphasise on the flaws, but rather act against them in a way that conveys the message onto him, and helps him close the gaps in his academic career. 4) measure progress - I will keep myself updated on my students progress via regular weekly reports using teaching methods like the Gantt teaching method, which helps you keep track of the progress that you are making with the respective objectives that you have. I will also ask my students to give a feedback on my weekly work. 5) pivot or persevere - I will lay a strong foundation on the topics that I teach. The student will not just memorise every information, but try to understand what it is and how it works. This will help him understand the concepts with more clarity. 6) Engage - effective communication. Students tend to get distracted due to too much work and they sometimes will need a friend who can talk to them at regular basis without feeling pressurised. I will try to engage myself in conversations with them that will be a fine balance between getting their academic work done, and not being bored at the same time with what they are doing. 7) develop - I will try to identify their strengths and weaknessess. I will try to strengthen their plus points, and motivate them to do much better, and at the same time I will emphasise on their negative aspects and try to eliminate them in every way.
