It could be an advantage for students by diferents ways: the students are simmultaneously in contact with teacher of each instrument but also with students of their level. Several times when people are interacting with others with same age/condition they are more concentrated, and with more interest to do the same as the others. In groups, in which students have different levels, the best ones incentivate the others and it contributes to the quick learning and better levels. Students give strong between themselves.
In other hand between peers, the students can also develop skills in the relationship with the others: I mean personal skills, like help, comprehension and tolerance by themselves.
These are the reasons from what I really recommend the piano teaching in groups, a colectiv activitie and not lonely activitie!
