Maths may seem to be the hardest subject at all stages of life but invest some time into Maths and it may seem like the easiest subject at all stages of life. Yes, it is true that other subjects are hard as well but isn`t it also true that they don`t come maths-free?

Take Chemistry, for example. Whilst balancing chemical equations, we are adding up the numbers of atoms in each molecule and ensuring that the number of molecules on both sides of the equation are equal. Isn`t this Maths? Let`s move on to another subject, let`s say Accounting. From the books of prime entry to the financial statements, all stages include some sort of calculation or the other. Calculation is a part of the studies of Mathematics. Even a subject like art uses Maths. Hard to believe isn`t it? Whilst drawing a face, we ensure that there are 2 eyes, 1 nose and 1 mouth. This is counting without thinking about it. Maths is highly useful in all academic areas.

But is Maths only important in education? The answer to this is no. We also use Maths in everyday life. A question that we may ask ourselves at breakfast is: "How much water do I need to fill the kettle with to make my tea?". Or as we walk to different places we ask ourselves "How long do I intend to walk for?", "What time shall i leave my house?" and "Will I make it there on time?". Even as we watch our favorite shows we may ask ourselves, "How long are the adverts going to last for?"

As you read through this article, you may be wondering that Maths is really important, especially for work life and yes that is why we study Maths. The job of a nurse, the job of a pilot, the job of an architect and various other jobs involve Maths. A nurse has to consider the length of the operation and has a timetable to plan to meet the day`s requirements. A pilot has to plan how long it will take for the plane to travel between two destinations. An architect has to consider dimensions for the buildings.

Maths is an essential subject. I say, that if a student grasps Maths in their early age then it will help them in several other subjects and they will also find Maths fun to learn.
