A hardworking and dedicated individual with an excellent grasp of science concepts who aims to share her knowledge as a Science teacher for all students from primary school to secondary level. I believe students learn best when they are relaxed and interested in what they are learning about. That is why I tailor the lessons to the needs and interests of the students I am working with. I always email the parents in advance with a copy of the lesson plan, this means the parent is aware of what we are doing in the lesson and can make comments/amendments as they see fit. I also customize my teaching style according to the learning needs and mental caliber of the student. Generally, I start a new lesson by giving the student a detailed concept of the scientific topic. Later on, I elaborate the general and specific details of the topic with the help of examples. Afterwards, I put forth similar problems in front of the student to solve by himself, in order to assess his understanding of the topic. I also share with my students all the possible questions and different forms of a question that they might come across in the examination out of a selected topic. Moreover, I also give them examination techniques to solve such problems effectively. ) I cannot over emphasis the importance of thoroughly familiarizing yourself with your specific exam board. Going through past papers is not enough. You must go through the mark schemes as well. I`ll help you decipher them. It`s actually quite straightforward once you get the hang of it. This will help you develop an intuition that will allow you to visualize exactly what the examiner is looking for, once your sitting in the exam hall.
