If you have decided to take private tuition, the following suggestions will help you achieve your goal much quicker. - Before we start, you should: - a) Find yourself a good motive. A good motive leads you through academic difficulties and overcomes your weaknesses more actively.

b) List your academic strengths and weaknesses. This list gives you things to rely on and things to look forward to. And it provides me some guidance for preparing and giving the lessons. - When we meet, you should: - a) Try to understand, not to remember steps. In each lesson I often provide you the "big pictures" and techniques to help you understand. If you don`t get them, stop me and ask for the explanations again.

b) Ask lots of questions. As your personal tutor, my responsibility is to help you progress, not to judge you in any way. So write down your questions and bring them to me. - After our tutorial, you should: - a) Revise and relate to other topics. When I prepare for new lessons, I would assume that you have remembered everything from the previous ones. So revise and correlate your knowledge with other topics, most importantly embed it back to the "big picture".

b) Feedback my tutoring. After each lesson, You need to have couple of minutes summarize my teaching and tell me your ideas as the first thing when we meet again.
